The good news is that if your keywords are on page 1 then the reaction to any changes will be very quick. Make sure that you make any changes on their own and then follow the results of the changes. If you do several alterations at once you will not know which was the problem area, or if it was a blend of a few different things.

Or it could be that the wrong keywords have been picked at the outset. The former is easy to solve the latter means that the whole process is wasted and that would be a very great pity indeed. But, before you are hasty and bin the work done to date, review your prospective clients. Is this a purchase that they would make straight away or do they need time to consider the offering, come back and check the website a few times and finally, a month or so later, actually contact you to begin the purchase process.
